Ganesh Chaturthi in Mumbai is a time of joy, celebration, and devotion. The city comes alive with decorations, music, and prayers. But while lakhs of people welcome Lord Ganesha with grandeur, there are thousands of families sitting outside government hospitals who are fighting a very different battle.

These are parents, children, and caregivers who have traveled from villages across India for treatment. They have sold everything they own to save their loved ones. Many sleep on the pavement outside hospital gates. For them, even one proper meal is often a struggle.
Akshaya Chaitanya Feeds Over 10,000+ People Daily
Akshaya Chaitanya has been serving these families every single day. Through our Swasthya Ahara initiative, we provide fresh, nutritious meals to over 10,000 people daily. Holidays, weekends, or festivals, our food service never stops.
As Vikas Parchhanda, CEO of Akshaya Chaitanya’s Maharashtra Chapter, shares: “Whether it’s a national holiday, the weekend, or a festival, our feeding program never stops. We know people are waiting for us, and we don’t want to let them down in any way. There have been days when we thought we wouldn’t be able to continue, but by God’s grace, we have never missed a single day.”
Make This Ganesh Chaturthi Special For Thousands Of Helpless People
This Ganesh Chaturthi, we want to make the festival special for these families who otherwise have nothing to celebrate. With your support, we can prepare festive meals with sweets for more than 10,000 people waiting outside Mumbai’s hospitals.
Your contribution will mean more than just food. It will mean dignity, hope, and a reminder that they are not forgotten during this sacred festival.
A farmer from Nanded once told us how he was surviving by skipping meals while waiting for his daughter’s treatment. Today, he says he has hope again because of the meals he receives every day. There are thousands more like him who are relying on us this festive season.
Your donation can make sure they don’t spend Ganesh Chaturthi hungry and hopeless. Instead, with a plate of warm food and a sweet, they can feel included in the joy of the festival.
This Ganesh Chaturthi, help us feed 10,000+ families outside hospitals and make them feel part of the celebration.
